About the artist.

Holding a BA in Business Administration, May Alsaad  is  Kuwaiti  self-taught artist that has left a mark in the Kuwaiti/Arab Art map since 1993 through participating in solo & group  exhibitions  in Europe, Asia and across the Middle-eastern region.

An active member of the Kuwaiti Formative Arts Society since 1994, Founding Member of the Kuwaiti Women Artists Group (KWAG),

and an active member of the International Art Society in Paris.

May's true artistic focus of capturing movements and beats came into life with her project “The Sound of Color and the Beat of Life” in which she began painting folk arab dancing. However, more recent projects revolved around controversial political issues and literature. 

May Alsaad  won *The Royal Highness Emir of Kuwait Shaikh Sabah AlAhmad AlJaber AlSabah Prize  for Creativity 2013, 2014

 *Essa Saqer  Prize for Creativity in AlGurain Festival 2012 *

 First Prize in Hala February Art Festival 2011, and the First Prize in IBOAC international contest 2010.
